Our signature program, Give it 72, is a 72-hour immersive experience (plus travel time) designed to promote healing through equine connection. Focused on reconnecting mind, body, and spirit, the program guides participants through meaningful interactions with wild mustangs and wellness-based activities.
As a newly launched organization, the program is currently in development while we secure funding and build the resources needed to bring this vision to life. Contact us for more information regarding this program.
Our Hoofbeats to Heart program spans 8 weeks, with participants visiting onsite 1-2 days per week for a few hours. You’ll follow a set schedule to connect with the equines and also have time to utilize the onsite facilities and professional resources available. This program is currently designed for those local to us, as consistency and scheduling are key. If you can commit to regular visits, we’ll make it happen!
We are here for you. While we are not a 24-hour crisis center, we are happy to assist you during normal business hours. If you need additional one-on-one time with the equines or would like to use the facilities, please reach out to us via phone or email, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
The goal is to use the equines as the first step in creating emotional safety and immediately surround the individual with professional services, alternative wellness, and healing techniques.
We provide evidence-based services and support through local businesses that share our focus on helping Wildland Firefighters and their families.
The programs offered by The Wildland Project are hands-on, personal, free, confidential, and accessible to the Wildland Firefighting community, past and present, including seasonal, full-time, and volunteer responders as well as their immediate family.
